2021 Venue Confirmation, Rally Point, Balance Due, and Latest Updates
Lodging Confirmation
We have entered into an agreement and have signed a contract with Caboose Farm to host our 2021 reunion. Situated on 200 acres in the mountains of Northern Maryland, Caboose Farm is a short 30 minute drive from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to the south in Sabillasville. Four of their 6 houses have been reserved for our lodging accommodations and they are all next to one another.
Rally Point
In years past, rally points have been set at various restaurants near the venue and while we still need a rally point, this year it’s the closest it’s ever been. We will have access to the 2,000 sq. ft. events barn at Caboose Farm beginning at noon on day 1. Doesn’t get any easier than that.
A bartender will serve drinks until 4 and lunch will be catered by Monica Kelso Catering beginning at 13:00, lasting until 14:30. The menu includes:
- Angus beef burgers with all the fixings
- Grilled beer brats
- Smoked wings
- Bagged chips
Attendees and Special Guests
At the time of this post, we have a total of 59 registered guests, 38 Marines and 21 guests. A live list can be seen here and is updated on a regular basis. Not included in the 59 count are this year’s special guests. Details will be posted later.
Prices
Based on 38 Marines that have registered, here’s the breakdown for the 2021 price per Marine (we never charge the ladies to come, relax, and have their Marines take care of everything):
$275 Total per Marine (guests are free)
-$100 Initial deposit already paid
$175 Balance Due
We have begun collecting the remaining balances for 2021 and you can pay yours by April 30, 2021. This provides everybody 5 months to remit their payment.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Since many of you didn’t uncheck the Paying for goods or a service? check box, it cost us about $3.00 each. While that isn’t much per person, multiply that by 10 and it adds up to $30 that came out of the total funds and my pocket! DON’T SCREW THIS UP AGAIN!! If you do, I will have you send an additional amount to cover the fees assessed by PayPal.
