Two Weeks and a Wake-up…
There’s just 14 long days separating most of us from the blistering heat of Texas during the dog days of summer. The closer we get to July 31, the longer the days feel.
Here are some of the latest details and random reminders for y’all.
Rally point

We won’t have to go too far on arrival day to get to our cabins. This year’s rally point is a pavilion just inside the ranch entrance. After you turn into the ranch from Panther Creek Pass, the pavilion will be on the left and our cabins, just beyond that. A map can be found on our 2025 Reunion Page. We can’t reserve the pavilion so if you see other people there, that’s why.
Since we can’t check-in until 15:00, we won’t have access to cook anything right away. Please make sure you eat lunch before you arrive. Dinner won’t be until late afternoon or early evening.
Menu
The final detail of this year’s menu was finalized just yesterday! You’ll see several traditional reunion menu items returning and, for the most part, the same cooks cooking them.
Our fundraiser allowed us to bring in a caterer again this year and the menu is on our 2025 Reunion page. Thank you Sara for jumping through hoops this past week to secure the caterer on such short notice.
Reserve your rentals
Deer Lake Cabins Ranch Resort offers a lot of equipment to use & activities to participate in, both premium and complimentary. I’ve listed some of them on our 2025 Reunion page. I suggest checking out their Activities page to see what other premium activities are available that I didn’t list. They ask that you reserve your activity, but not more than 2 weeks in advance.
Tomorrow starts the 2 week reservation window. If you are interested in booking an activity during our reunion, reach out out to them by calling or texting (903) 960-0181. It should go without saying but these rentals will be at your own expense. Any
activities and rentals must be paid at check-in if not sooner.

No fishing licenses are required since it’s private property and as a result, it’s catch and release. Bring gear if you have it.
If you bring your own UTV or ATV to explore the 15 miles of trails, they have a $35 registration fee per unit. Failure to register and pay the registration fee will result in a $50 fine per unit PLUS the $35 registration fee.
Real ID
Speaking of licenses, for those that are flying, double check your ID. On May 7 of this year, TSA began their enforcement of Real ID. If you’re not sure if your ID is compliant, check out TSA’s website. Also, according to their list, a Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) is an alternative if you don’t have a Real ID compliant drivers license.
Cornhole

I’ve started getting this year’s Cornhole Tournament set up. Grab a partner and let me know who that is. I’m hoping I can get it set up before I land in Texas! I’d rather enjoy the reunion rather than struggle to get this bracket set up at the reunion. Please help me out.
Here’s what we have so far:
- Jen & Burkhalter
- Keller / Marrapode
- Rogers / Walker
- Barganier / Lawrence
- Linda & Mooney
- Nidy / Szanto
- Gunny / Dietz
- Ball / Haley
Assignments & what to bring

Many are flying into Texas and can’t necessarily bring extra stuff however everyone should bring their own drinks, ice, coolers and snacks to share with everyone.
Those that are driving have been assigned some extra stuff to bring and can be found on, yep, you guessed it, our 2025 Reunion Page.
Last words for now
You may have noticed that I kept mentioning our 2025 Reunion page. It’s there with all relevant information on a single page so you don’t struggle finding information. There’s a link to it in the main menu as well as several mentions of it on this post. Bookmark it so you don’t need to scroll through bookface messenger looking for a needle in a haystack full of jokes and memes.
Most of you know what happens each year but there are a couple of boots coming (and some that are still called boots). Either way, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, just ask. Any one of would be happy to answer your questions.
