Danny Lee Parsons, 54, of Hebron, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Born in Salisbury, Maryland, to Anna Parsons, Danny graduated from Mardela High School, where he was a varsity wrestler. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996, where he developed the discipline, values, and integrity that guided his life. He later joined the Maryland National Guard, serving until the events of September 11, 2001. Following 9/11, Danny was called back to active duty in the United States Army, completing one year of service, and afterward returned to serve additional time in the Maryland National Guard.

Danny dedicated his professional life to protecting and serving others as a police officer with the Salisbury Police Department, where he served for nearly 21 years and retired as a Sergeant. His pride as a Marine and police officer was evident in his conduct and the standards he upheld.

He was active in the veteran community and a familiar presence at American Legion Post 91 in Cambridge and American Legion Post 64 in Salisbury. He was a life member of the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club for over 15 years, and his club brothers and fellow riders knew him simply as “Oorah.” Danny enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting, driving on the beach with his family, and skillfully maneuvering radio-controlled planes, often flying them closer to the trees than intended, resulting in unplanned tree climbing.

He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Tara Parsons; his daughter, Madeline Baldwin and her husband, Wayne; his mother, Anna Parsons; his brother, John Parsons and his son; his in-laws, Wayne and Faye Rathel; and his dogs, Molly and Nugget.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, 200 South Main Street, Hebron, MD. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danny’s honor to The American Legion Charities, supporting veteran mental health and suicide prevention through the Be The One mission.

Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., Salisbury. Memories may be shared at www.hollowayfh.com.
