2027 Registration Opens Now – From Arizona Heat to a Montana Retreat
The 13th Annual Bastards Reunion is heading to Montana, August 5โ8, 2027 (ThursdayโSunday), hosted by Tim (Gunny) and Netti Elyea!
Arizona was the original plan, but the Netti said that August in the desert might be a little too hot for some of you pansy-asses. Hey, her words, not mine. The change was floated at our Michigan reunion and now that the resort is booked, Montana is officially our destination.
tl;dr; (too long; didn’t read;)
- Dates: August 5โ8, 2027 (ThursdayโSunday)
- Location: Whitefish Luxury Cabins in Whitefish, Montana
- Registration Deposit: $200 per Marine (non-refundable)
- Registration & Deposit Deadline: December 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM
Limited Space – Register Early!
This is probably the most important part of this announcement, so pay attention.
We’ve reserved cabins with approximately 20 bedrooms and, somehow, accommodations for up to 54 people. Over the past five years, we’ve averaged 29 Marines and 15 guests so we’re not far from capacity if we have a better-than-average turnout.
If registrations exceed our available accommodations, we’ll need to explore additional options. That takes time and there’s no guarantee nearby cabins will still be available so register early!
Resort Deposit is Getting Paid Next Week!
We’re making arrangements to pay the 50% deposit early next week, which is more aggressive than Michigan’s deposit was, so we’re counting on everyone getting their deposits in promptly to reimburse those funds. Also, the sooner everyone registers and pays, the sooner we can get an accurate picture of our numbers.
Despite the high deposit, you have about a month and a half to register and submit your deposit. That should be more than enough time to decide whether you’re going to spend a few days in Montana with a bunch of people you’ve somehow managed to tolerate for the last several decades.
December 15 is a Hard Deadline
Registration closes December 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. No late registrations will be accepted.
To be counted, you must complete BOTH steps:
- Register using the form on our new registration page.
- Pay your $200 non-refundable deposit by the deadline.
Registering without paying does not reserve your spot. Paying without completing the registration form doesn’t give us the information we need.
No registration and payment = No spot.
The $200 deposit is per Marine, whether you’re attending solo or bringing the wife or girlfriend. Just don’t bring them both! As always, guests attend at no additional charge.
How Much Will Next Year Cost?
It wouldn’t be right taking your deposit without giving you a ballpark since it’s expensive this year, especially if you have to fly, but once you see the place, it will be well worth it.
If 30 Marines come, the total could be around $475 and if only 25 show, it might be $575. These amounts are estimates and will fluctuate with the number of Marines so don’t think that’s the final amount. Remember reunion dues primarily cover lodging and food.
We won’t know the final amount until registration closes and we have an accurate count of Marines who have registered and paid. Once we have those numbers, we’ll calculate everyone’s remaining balance and announce it in a separate update.
The final balance will be due April 30, 2027, conveniently scheduled for right after tax season. Uncle Sam gets his cut first, and then the Bastards come collecting.

Payments can be made using our usual methods: Venmo, PayPal Friends & Family, Zelle, or another arrangement if necessary.

Plans Change – Keep Us Informed
We understand that things happen between registration and reunion time. Work schedules change, travel arrangements fall apart, and sometimes life just gets in the way.
If anything changes from your original registration, please let us know as soon as possible. That includes whether you’re no longer bringing a guest, changes in your travel arrangements, or if you can no longer attend.
After you register, you’ll receive an email copy of your registration submission so you can review the information you provided. Keep it handy, and don’t assume we’ll somehow know when your plans change.
We’re pretty good at organizing reunions, but mind reading hasn’t made the list of Board-approved skills yet.
What’s Next?
After registration closes, we’ll publish another update with the final payment amount, additional reunion details, and the return of our Reunion Dashboard, where you’ll find the information you need as August approaches.
In the meantime, you can visit the registration page to sign up and see who’s already committed to making the trip. The registration chart will be updated as everyone signs up.
Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute!
One last word of advice. Bring your illegals and turn them in since the Whitefish Border Patrol Station is within spitting distance from these cabins. Or don’t, what do I care.
Now it’s your turn.
Get registered, get your deposit paid, and help us get this right early.
